When I knit k1p1 ribbing in round, the left side of knit stitch will be always looser. Do you have same problem?
I have took 2 videos how to work neat k1p1 ribbing. Both ways are easy and the result is beautiful. You do not adjust your tension of working yarn at all. You work knit stitch or purl stich a bit different as usual. Please just try and I hope it will be helpful for you.
The 1st video, knit stitch is worked opposite way. You bring yarn over the right hand needle same as working purl stitch. Purl stitches are worked as usual.
Your knit stitches are in opposite direction (knit wise) on needle. When you work k2tog or ssk, you have to change the direction of loop on your needle.
The 2nd video, purl stitch is worked opposite way. You bring yarn under the right hand needle same as working knit stitch. Knit stitches are worked as usual.
Your purl stitches are in opposite direction (knit wise) on needle. When you work k2tog or ssk, you have to change the direction of loop on your needle.
Both videos are for k1p1 ribbing in the round. If you work running in flat knitting, you work 1st method on right side, then 2nd method on wrong side.
I made this video for my knitting pattern “Caramel Hat”. The pattern will be available on Raverly. There are 8 different sizes on pattern. I hope you can find suitable hat size for you:)
